The appeal of a siege engine as a model is that the engineering is visible. A catapult is a lever and a counterweight and you can see exactly how it stores energy; a twin-bow crossbow is two bows working against a frame; a cannon is the moment that made both obsolete. Building one means handling those parts in order, which teaches the mechanism far better than a diagram does, and the finished model is a genuinely good-looking object rather than a toy to put away.

Why it works

The mechanism is the model. Nothing is hidden inside a shell, so the build explains how the machine worked.
Three machines to choose from. Catapult, double-bow siege crossbow, or cannon.
Wood, not plastic. Appropriate to the subject, sturdier to build with, and it finishes as something you would keep out.
A real build. Assembly takes patience and rewards it, which is the point rather than a side effect.
Ends as a display piece. These sit on a shelf afterwards. Most 3D puzzles do not.

Please note that if you order multiple items, may they will be shipped in separate parcels (but you won't have to pay extra for shipping).

If you believe your parcel is taking too long to arrive or fear it could be lost, please contact support and we will look into it right away.

Return policy

Here at creativeby.design our customers are important to us and we want you to be happy with your purchase.

It’s important that you inspect your goods as soon as possible after they have been delivered.
If you are unhappy with an item and the item is not faulty, you must return it in its original condition - the condition in which it was sold - and in its original packaging, within 30 days after receiving it. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods. Within 7 days after receiving the returned goods, we will issue a refund covering the full price of the purchased goods. Refunds are issued via the payment method used when purchasing the goods.

Prior to returning any item, please contact us and we will guide you through our simple return process.

GOODS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT: If an item is damaged in transit, you must contact us within 3 business days after receiving the damaged item. We will make all due arrangements to either send you a replacement or issue you a refund depending on your preference.

RETURN OF FAULTY GOODS: If you have received a faulty item, please contact us and we will assist you through the process. Time frames for refunds on faulty goods may vary depending on products.

ITEMS THAT CANNOT BE RETURNED: In the interests of hygiene, certain items cannot be returned once the packaging has been opened unless the item is faulty. In addition, all custom objects cannot be returned.
